"Keep that day job 'til the night job pays."

I am a freelance graphic designer by day and a watercolorist by night. I minored in Studio Art (and majored in American Government) at the University of Virginia and later received an Associates Degree in Advertising Design at the Northern Virginia Community College. My day job has led me to everything from magazine design to multimedia authoring.

My watercolor studies have been mostly through the Alexandria Art League but I have also attended workshops and studied under many painters such as Frank Webb and Gwen Bragg. I have dabbled in sculpture among other things, but always return to watercolor because I enjoy the beauty of its transparency and the challenges and surprises that come from working with this medium.
